Giacomo Tonico
Sport Science Graduate · Olympic Wrestler · Bareknuckle Fighter
Giacomo Tonico is one of the UK's leading authorities in performance-driven fitness — a Sport Science graduate, former Olympic wrestler, and bareknuckle fighter. He is the founder behind Tonico Health & Performance, London's boutique destination for results-oriented training where discipline, precision, and progress converge.
With a rare combination of competitive experience, academic knowledge, and years of hands-on coaching, Giacomo has developed the Tonico Method — a science-led, minimalist approach to training that prioritises doing fewer things, but doing them exceptionally well. His philosophy treats every client like an athlete, focusing on measurable results and a structured, disciplined path to strength, mobility, and overall wellbeing.
Giacomo's journey in fitness began in sport. Years of competitive wrestling and fighting honed his understanding of the human body, performance optimisation, and the mental resilience required to succeed. When he moved to London in 2017, he channelled this expertise into personal training — refining his method through hundreds of client sessions and observing firsthand what truly drives transformation.
In 2022, Giacomo opened his first personal training studio in Kensington, earning glowing reviews for its clean, professional environment, knowledgeable trainers, and transformative approach. Building on that success, he launched Tonico Health & Performance — a larger gym space offering unlimited access, personal training, nutrition guidance, massage therapy, and a café serving nutritious food and drinks, fostering both performance and community.
For Giacomo, fitness is never just about the body. It's about sharpening the mind, energising daily life, and building confidence that carries beyond the gym. A respected voice in the industry, he regularly shares expert insight on training, performance, and sports science — his ethos rooted in humility, discipline, and evidence-based practice.
For Giacomo, it's more than a physical state; it's a mindset, a method, and a standard.
